TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge’s New Dimension Shellshock DLC Adds a Bunny Samurai and More

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Dimension Shellshock

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge has new DLC on the way, Dimension Shellshock, featuring a sword-wielding bunny samurai.

This won’t be the first time Miyamoto Usagi, from the comic series Usagi Yojimbo, has crossed paths with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The trailer for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge – Dimension Shellshock mentions new fighters, plural, so there may be others joining this DLC. But for now, this sword-wielding rabbit will be teaming up with the Turtles.

Does this mean we’re getting a whole new bunch of levels? Not exactly. From what we know this is going to be a similar deal to Streets of Rage 4’s Mr X Nightmare DLC. It’ll have additional challenges but won’t feature completely new scrolling levels. But for those who have played the game to death we expect it’ll give you a good reason to go right back to pummelling Foot Soldiers.

Speaking of Streets of Rage 4, given it and Shredder’s Revenge are Dotemu games, we’re hoping against hope for a crossover. What if one of the remaining fighters is, say Blaze from that title? True, Tribute Games didn’t develop Streets of Rage 4 but with a name like Dimension Shellshock, it’s trying out for a trans-dimensional team-up.

What we do know is that it’ll also throw in new fighter colours and a new game mode which looks to be wave-based. There’s no precise release date as yet but Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge – Dimension Shellshock will hit all platforms, PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch, later this year.

He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
