Set to release in October, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has just gone Gold.
It means that the game is essentially complete, with the time between now and the game finally getting into players’ hands spent polishing things up if necessary with a day one patch. Physical copies can also now be put into production. And with Assassin’s Creed Mirage going Gold so early, Ubisoft has brought the release date of the game forward a week. Result.
Originally set to launch on 12th October, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will now allow players to go hands-on with new protagonist Basim on 5th October instead. It’s something we’re really looking forward to, what with the game going back to the series’ roots. A smaller world and a more focused story are set to be backed up with more emphasis on stealth and parkour, making this feel like a blast from the series’ past.

Preorders for Assassin’s Creed Mirage are live right now, with both a launch and deluxe edition available at most retailers. Due to its scope, the game is even a bit cheaper than the usual big Assassin’s Creed releases, though it still promises a healthy amount of content. It will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
