An Animal Crossing LEGO Theme Might Be on the Way

Animal Crossing

Nintendo’s partnership with LEGO has been fruitful so far, with its Mario playsets proving to be a hit with minors and adult sets such as the Super Mario 64 cube being simply spectacular.

It makes sense, then, for LEGO and Nintendo to keep to keep working together. And a recent leak suggests that next year a range of Animal Crossing themed LEGO sets will be released.

The original leak came from Instagram user palnetttt‘s Stories, who teased an upcoming theme that shared some similarities with Fabuland. For those not in the know, Fabuland was an old LEGO theme that stood out due to its strange animal-based minifigs which featured large moulded heads.

The Instagram user then followed up, confirming followers’ suspicions that an Animal Crossing LEGO theme is in the works. This information has since been posted on r/Legoleak, which doesn’t normally happen unless there’s considerable reason to believe it’s true.

Five LEGO Animal Crossing sets are believed to be in the works, each one coming in at a unique price bracket. At the moment, it’s stated that they’re set to release in March 2024. The basic info of each set can be found below:

  • 77046: 170 pieces – $14.99
  • 77047: 164 pieces – $19.99
  • 77048: 233 pieces – $29.99
  • 77049: 389 pieces – $39.99
  • 77050: 535 pieces – $74.99

Admittedly, we don’t know much about the sets yet, but we’re excited to find out what they are. We’d love it if we could build our own little Animal Crossing village out of LEGO bricks.
