Diablo 4 Patch Notes 1.1.1 Reveal Plenty of Class Balances

The Diablo 4 update 1.1.1 doesn’t land until Tuesday 8th August, but Blizzard has made the patch notes available early.

The next Diablo 4 patch brings balance updates for all classes, but Sorcerer and Barbarian are seeing the most changes. There are also some changes to gameplay, including monster density, better Legendary drop rates from bosses and Treasure Goblins, and plenty more.

You can see the full Diablo 4 patch notes on Blizzard’s website, but we’ve rounded up the key changes below.

Diablo 4 character class changes

Sorcerer

  • Better late-game survivability via improved Paragon Board
  • Improved damage and radius to Fireball skill
  • Chain Lightning damage increased
  • Vyr’s Mastery damage bonus now 15%
  • Paragon boards: many glyph percentages increased, with lots focusing on damage reduction

Barbarian

  • Bash, Flay, Enhanced Frenzy and Lunging Strike all generate more Fury
  • Damage increased of Double Swing, Enhanced Rupture and Enhanced Charge
  • Many legendary aspects and Unique items have had their damage increased

Rogue

  • Enhanced Caltrops deals more bonus damage
  • Poison Trap damage increased to 396%
  • Rain of Arrow’s first wave knocks down enemies for 3 seconds

Druid

  • Earth Spike, Claw, Storm Strike, Wind Shear and Maul all generate more Spirit
  • Wolf skills have been improved

Necromancer

  • Enhanced Bone Spirit cooldown reduction has been increased
  • Several legendary aspects have been improved, notably Aspect of Torment essence regeneration has been boosted from 20-30% to 90-170%

Diablo 4 patch notes: gameplay changes

  • Increased monster density in Nightmare Dungeons and Helltide
  • Bosses above level 60 will have more health
  • Level 35+ bosses have a 100% chance to drop a Legendary item
  • Treasure goblins above level 15 have a guaranteed Legendary drop
  • Legion Events above level 35 have a 100% chance to drop a Legendary
  • Cost for refunding skills and paragon points has been reduced
  • Increased stack limit for Elixirs up to 99
  • An additional Stash Tab can now be purchased
  • Cast time to leave dungeon has been reverted back to 3 seconds
  • Nightmare Dungeons no longer have Resource Burn, Backstabbers and Cold Enchanted affixes
